The Freshest Food Fix
– right here in Takapuna
Habitual Fix, the freshest food fix, is now open at Lake Road, Takapuna – just a short, but healthy stroll, from the fabulous beach.
All of their ingredients are on display and everything is made right in front of you. That’s because the team at Habitual Fix say they have nothing to hide. Their meats are of the highest deli grade and the produce is delivered in fresh daily.
They squeeze all of their juices onsite and, strangely enough, they only contain juice!
They even bake their own farm style bread early each morning to ensure that it is the very best for the sandwiches.
This is all done to maintain the Habitual Fix fresh promise.
They are quite direct and proud of the fact that at Habitual Fix, the only thing they process is your catering order – and quickly. They deliver what they believe is New Zealand’s freshest food fix Shore-wide, direct to your office and at a fraction of the cost of normal catering.
Okay, so you don’t work for the Council or Telstra Clear and there’s just three of you minding the salon today. Well, you’re in luck, the Habitual Fix team take small orders too and the guys can run it down to you.
Their challenge is “Order now and see how we take top notch, yet affordable, office catering to the next level”. Sounds like a challenge worth taking.

Sumo Salad - Salad of the Month!
We love contributions to Channel Magazine from our ‘locals’. One such local is Stuart Wright, the friendly host at Sumo Salad in Takapuna. Stuart has put his hand up to provide a monthly contribution – to inform our readers of how to make tasty and healthy salads, and other bits and pieces.
“This month I have asked Anisha to come up with a salad,” explains Stuart. “I always hesitate when sampling Anisha’s cooking. Don’t get me wrong Anisha makes some wonderful food but as Anisha originates from India it tends to have alot of heat secretly hidden within, only to jump up and smack you right in the taste buds. A typical Vindaloo (a poms favourite meal after a night in the Pub) would only reach mild on the Richter Scale of Anisha’s cooking.
Anisha made this salad for us and it was delicious and the mix of veg and fruit was extremely refreshing. So give it a go its easy and makes for a great lunch.”
