Rev. Pottle, the villagers eagerly await his replacement. To their shock, the new vicar is Geraldine Granger, a “babe with a bobcut and a magnificent bosom” who manages to win them over and find a place in their hearts, all except for David Horton, the pompous, parish council chairman.
