Summertime at The Rose Centre

This summer season sees The Rose Centre in full bloom, with plenty of performances and events to enjoy over the festive time and beyond.  Pre-Christmas there is an evening extravaganza of bellydance and festivities to enoy on the 8th, before two wonderful evenings of festive favourites and theatrical hits in Pop the Top on the 9th and 10th December. Auckland City Theatre Academy presents its Showcase 2013 on the 14th and 15th December.

Pregnancy Yoga with Marika will help ensure peace and calm for all soon-to-be mums on Sunday mornings from 9.30-11am. In the New Year, budding young stars have a chance to shine with the National Youth Theatre Company’s ‘Allstars’ school holiday programme from 21st to 25th January.

Tais Belly Dance presents: The Christmas Oasis Show
On the 8th of December, travel to an oasis of peace in the middle of the busy Christmas season. Join Tais, the Tais Belly Dance School, the ISIS - Professional Bellydance Troupe and our special friends for an evening extravaganza of music, dance, festivity and Christmas cheer!

HURRY, the number of tickets is limited!  Tais Derbasova is an award winning professional Belly Dancer, teacher and choreographer based in Auckland, New Zealand. In August 2010 she was the winner of the “Dina’s Choice” Prize in the Australian Belly Dance Star Awards.Tais was also crowned winner in the Solo and Best choreography categories of the National Oriental Dance Competition in Russia organised by the International Association of Artists in Egypt in 2007.

Cinderella Christmas Magic
Ballet Theatre of Auckland’s students will be staging Cinderella at the Rose Centre in Belmont on Wednesday 11 and Thursday 12 December. Shows will commence at 6pm.Ballet Theatre of Auckland was established in 2009, and provides tuition in the Cecchetti Classical Ballet method. This method, with its timeless principles of grace, balance and line, is currently highly respected on an international level.  Tuition is provided to students from Pre-grades up to and including Advanced levels by qualified teachers whom themselves have danced professionally,  and provides the opportunity for young ballet dancers to be trained in a professional, yet safe and fun, environment.
