International Women’s Day
12 prefects and several staff members attended a breakfast on Friday March 8th to celebrate International Women’s Day.
This celebrates the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future. The guest speaker was Dr Jackie Blue, National List MP and former Breast Physician and she spoke on the issue of forced marriages, how it affects students in Auckland secondary schools and her Private Member’s Bill to prevent them.
