State Beach Series – every Tuesday evening

The start of summer signals a highlight on the local sporting calendar - it’s time for the State Beach Series.

Whatever your level of fitness, you can be a part of this fun, social fitness beach event as it comes back for a new 2012-13 season.
Having kicked off on 30th October – Tuesday evenings now give Shore locals the chance to run shoulders with Olympians and quite possibly their own neighbours, as they hit the sand and sea for sporting challenges and a beach full of fun.
Event Managing Director Scott Rice said: “This is a great way to enjoy the beautiful Takapuna beach. Come along to enjoy some fun and fitness on the best beach in Auckland!”
Entries for this family-friendly experience continue to be open and organisers encourage people to sign up at their new website: www.beachseries.co.nz
There is even more scope for any fitness level this year, with more event categories having been added to the event offering.
Event dates run weekly until 18 December in 2012. Following a Christmas break, the State Beach Series begins again from 22 January, running until 19 March 2013. Get online and sign up now! Be a part of it this summer.
