Netball Never Stops

From the Silver Ferns, to Rugby World cup through to primary school Netball, the one common theme is the pressure on coaches to get it right.

Of course the scale and challenges are vastly different, however the fundamentals remain the same.

The difference of a mere minute or two can reduce grown women and men from tears to absolute rapture and elation and back again.

Those of us that work in sport witness this broad spectrum regularly within our own competition structures and across all age groups. What other profession can bring such highs and lows, and with the numbers we have through Netball North Harbour these emotions can happen all at once across 22 different courts.

With our winter season now complete we recently held a large school holiday programme during the school break, as well as player development and extension clinics for our juniors. We are now into the start of our summer season with Mid Week Ladies Day, Twilight and Social grades, most of which are played weekdays as opposed to Saturday play. Netball never stops.

The Onewa Arena is now the base for the North Harbour Volleyball junior league. Tennis Northern has allocated a lot of games on the external courts over the summer months and during October we hosted an Active Asian festival in the arena which was a huge success.

Netball North Harbour and its facilities are living up to our expectation of a true multi-sport hub on the North Shore.

If you are looking for a venue for your Xmas function then we can help. We offer a multitude of room sizes, or the Arena itself. We are now able to offer in-house catering services that will fit any budget.

For any enquires about hiring the Arena or any of our function rooms please contact Rachel: 481 0949.
