Candida Office Park

Developed with Klaus Girardet's commitment to excellence and quality

Candida is a name that will be well-known to most. It can be found on a high percentage of envelopes in circulation around New Zealand. The Candida story is an interesting one.

Candida was founded by proud North Shore residents Klaus and Dagmar Girardet who arrived in New Zealand from Germany with three daughters in tow in 1974. In 1975, Klaus and Dagmar started Candida Publishers from their home. In 1976 they started producing envelopes using an innovative system they called CMSS (Candida Metric Standardisation System) which helped to rationalise office paperwork. In 1979 they purchased three hectares of land at Constellation Drive, Mairangi Bay and built the Candida office and factory. They are still there today.
The company is a major North Shore and New Zealand business success story. Almost four decades on, Candida is still going from strength to strength as it is now a major player in the Australasian market as well.
The Candida name will live on in bricks and mortar as well with Klaus Girardet's notorious attention to detail being applied to the Candida Office Park which has been meticulously created with great support from his Architect, long time North Shore resident Alan Warwick, on the Constellation Drive site that now neighbours the production facility.
"Klaus' way has always been about quality and attention to detail and his Candida Office Park development is no different," explains Property Consultant John Dunn, an advisor to owners, the Candida Trust. "Klaus and Dagmar have created the Office Park as an investment for their family so it is built to the highest specification with the very best of services. They are also taking a long-term view in relation to tenants. They are after rock-solid, quality businesses who share their commitment to excellence and quality."
Leading enterprises who already call Candida Office Park home include BNZ Partners North Shore, Leighton Contractors and financial services business The Collection House. They have chosen Candida Office Park for the quality and also the central North Shore location. It has easy access to the motorways going North, West and South (to the City) and the Constellation Park & Ride bus station is only metres away. The oustanding location is why the Police decided to set-up their new North Shore base nearby.
BNZ's Managing Partner on the North Shore is Richard Ede who loves working at Candida Office Park. "The builiding is very highly specked and location is very convenient," says Richard. "I live in the Bays which is only minutes away. And if you want to go anywhere in Auckland, traffic permitting, it is very easy. If I need to go to the city I quite often just pop over the road (to the Park & Ride) and catch a bus. In about 15 minutes I am in town. I also work-out at the superb Millennium facility that's just around the corner."
Still available at Candida Office Park are three floors (each 562 square metres) in building three and also naming rights of that building.
"These three remaining floors are the final significant spaces available in this superb development," says Stephen Scott of Bayleys who is one of the agents marketing the property for the owners. "It really does tick all the boxes. Quality services, a great location and great building design with every space being regular in shape and column free, making any fit-out very easy. One company can take all the space and the naming rights, or the floors are available separately."
If you share the Klaus Girardet philosophy to excellence and quality, and are looking for a quality base for your business, then you should give Stephen Scott (or your preferred real estate agent) a call. If you are lucky they might even buy you a coffee during your visit at Candida Office Park's Mozaik Caffe – an added bonus is many believe they make the best coffee on the Shore!
